تأسست الكلية في العام 1991م باسم كلية التجارة وإدارة الأعمال في مدينة الدامر بأربع قاعات ومعمل واحد ومكتبة صغيرة و كانت الأقسام المتخصصة في ذلك الوقت هي المحاسبة، البنوك والتمويل، إدارة الأعمال، التجارة، الإحصاء والحاسوب.
